art appears everywhere
It seemed like art was everywhere we went in Spain. It was on the street, in parks, on the water, in churches, shop windows, in museums, and even in the Royal Palace. I've included some pictures below that I didn't manage to sneak into the other pictures on this site.
The picture below and the page header above were taken in Parc Guell and were created by Antoni Gaudi.

I found the sculptures below in Barcelona's Barri Gotic. I was walking near the cathedral, turned a corner, and there they were. The modern sculpture contrasting with the old city was unexpected and appreciated.
Art can be found in stained glass all over the city. This window is inside the Casa Amatler home located next to Casa Batlló in the Eixample section of Barcelona.
Street art helps define a city. I found this improvisation on a do not enter sign.
Museums offer fabulous sculpture inside as well as out. This Brushstroke by Lichtenstein is outside the Reina Sofía modern art museum in Madrid. It's enormous.
Dalí’s The Enigma of Hitler is found in the Reina Sofia museum in Madrid. On our tour we learned about several works of art created by Spanish artists that reflected the political issues going on at the time... this was one of many.
